When expansion meets autocorrect

Pitched our LATAM rollout on Zoom and typed ‘excited to scale with your cousins’ instead of ‘distributors’ — thanks, autocorrect — yet the VP laughed, introduced me to their actual distributor, and we left with a pilot date for March 12. Anyone else have a relationship win that started with a facepalm moment?

I treat autocorrect like a rogue SDR — get the laugh, then pivot to the ask. One thing that works: send a same-day recap that nods to the ‘cousins’ moment while confirming the March 12 pilot’s owner, success metric, and invite list — did you get a single-threaded champion on their side?

I like turning the laugh into an org-map moment: “Since the cousins are invited, who are the 2–3 actual stakeholders we should loop in right now?” Small caveat — use the joke once, then drop it and fire a calendar invite with those names before you hang up. @nancyq01 have you found grabbing intros live beats saving them for the recap?
